Matthew and Andrea McCallum appear to be the perfect couple. Matthew, 27, is a manager at the local supermarket, while Andrea, 23, is a sales assistant in a boutique. They were married three years ago in the company of their closest friends and family. Both are considered to be beneficial members of their community. With their mortgage under control, they plan to start a family soon.



They are perceived as the epitome of domestic bliss in their small community.

This is nothing more than a well constructed façade.

What no one knows is that Andrea is one of the 5.3 million women that experience domestic abuse. Her husband Matthew controls her comings and goings; dictates her habits and is responsible for the bruises that taint her body.





Luckily, Andrea is only a pixelized representation of these women. Find it in your heart to give her a safe home and to use her husband as you see fit.

In your game you are master. Will Matthew repent and be a better man? Will Andrea escape his grasp and live a fulfilled life without him?

Thanks, they looked like such a lovely couple at first.  I think I'll make them make up... but who knows?  I might get someone to fight him or kill him.  How the couple interacts in the game will convince me one way or the other.  I agree with hardwaretoad, though:  he's a bastard for hitting such a beautiful woman that's helping him pay the bills!

Any kind of domestic abuse makes me sooooooooo mad.  Did you ever see "Diary of a Mad Black Woman"?   Now that was some movie.  I was so glad to see that lady taking charge!   And JLo's "Enough"  should be required watching for all the poor women who have to take shelter from a husband!   I had two of those jerks!   Pretty much returned whatever I got from both of them...had to then go ahead and dump them anyway...they don't learn.   I would take this Sim and torture him,   but I can't do that to any of my Simmies'   I get too attached.  But, if I had the right access to my son-in-law...heh heh heh...different story.   K

I'm so glad they've been so well recieved. Sadly it's all too common a scenario and I wanted to somehow do something to raise a little more awareness. Might not be much, but the Sims is my way to do it

And good on you, to everyone who has gotten out of that kind of situation Everybody deserves someone who appreciates them
