Chapter 1 - Like Your Mother

"Ring, Ring, Ring; Paulina's alarm clock made a ever so tremendously loud ring, it was rather bothering to her. She hit the alarm clock as hard as she could, she hoped to break it. Paulina went to bed at 6am in the morning, it was currently 10am. She heard someone walking into the hallway and she knew exactly who it was, her father.

"Oh great, here comes hell," she thought in anger.
She put the blanket and tucked it behind her head so if he tried to rip the blanket off, he wouldn't be able to. Although Paulina thought it would work, she was ever so wrong. Her father opened the door, and ripped the covers off, he yelled at her and told her to get up. She was in intense pain, her finger had bent back almost all the way. She was crying, the pain felt so real, it was frightening.

"Did you here me?" shouted her father.
"My finger.." an interrupted Paulina said.
"I don't care about your finger, you're going to get up now!" he said.

Paulina was still crying as he walked out. She was so angry too, she knew that this was a great way to start out a monday. She didn't want to get him any more angry, so she jumped out of bed and rushed to get her gym shorts and a tank top on. She tried to slip on her sneakers while standing up, but fell on the floor and landed on her back. She sat there for a second laughing, then she started to break out in tears, she was really crying hard. He heard her dad calling from upstairs.

"PAULINA!" yelled her father.
"I'm coming!" she screamed.

Paulina had made a maraculous recovery, she jumped up, wiped off her tears, and rushed down stairs with a racket and tennis ball. She ran down the stairs, and saw her dad standing at the end of them.

"What took you?" her father said in a snotty way.

They walked outside, and he told her to take the right side of the court. He walked away back into the house, and came out carrying what looked like a automatic ball pitcher, and a giant basket of tennis balls. Paulina was doing the same drill she did every day, agility. These balls shot pretty fast, and if one were to hit her, she would have a good dark bruise. But over practicing the 15 years of her tennis enslaved life, she managed to dodge them almost all the time. But for Paulina today, she was more off then usual. It wasn't that she wasn't sane, it was just that she was not okay.

"1... 2.. 3..." her father counted.
"GO!" he shouted.

Paulina managed to hit a few balls barely, before she got hit in the leg by one. She was pelted, her leg was throbbing with pain.

"What's your deal today?" he shouted from the other side of the court.
"Get up, and keep going!" he said..
"But my leg, my back, my finger.' she moaned.
"It is all about you now, isn't it?" he shouted.
"You're going to your mothers in a few hours, we need to get some playing in, you'll be gone for a few too many days." he said.
"I don't even understand why you go over there, your mother is a complete f_cking mess, just like you." he bullied.
"Now lets try this again... This time do it right." he grunted.

Chapter 2 - The Cost Of Living

"I packed your bags, they're already on the front lawn." Paulina's father stated.
"Listen.. You're going to be at your mother's longer then expected." he said.
"Don't respond." he commanded.

Paulina wobbled as she walked up the patio stairs, she had a big, giant, massive, amount of dry yet sweaty hair, a hurt back and finger, and was weak from not eating so long. She was afraid she wouldn't even make it up the stairs, yet alone to her mother's car. But as soon as she started walking into the house, she heard a car beep. Paulina walked up to the kitchen sink, and opened the drawer under it, and opened a case without managing to get hurt. In the case was 80,000 dollars. She smiled, and walked out the front door and glided in a happy mood over to her mother's old beat up car. Her mother waved and said hello. In the back seats were her children from her current relationship, a drunken, wife beating, guy. It appeared that she married the same person twice in a life time. She took a look at her mother's face, her eyes were crusty, there was a yellow fog in them. Her hangs were bony, and she smelled of a certain type of smell that was indescribable.

"You okay?" her mother said her first words for the first time in the car that day.
"Yeah, I just got hurt..." she stopped.
"Is he still pushing you?" she said.
"..." she frowned.
"I'm so sorry...." she said with no feelings at all.
"Someone should get rid of him, he is becoming worst isn't he?" she said.

Paulina let out a small smirk, and could tell her mother could care less, but that was better then living with a monster who can't control himself. But she laughed because her mother said someone would just get rid of him, it was extremely ironic for her. She knew it was just the drugs talking. Ever since she was born and her parents split up, her mother had taken a new direction in life with her new husband Dale, smoking, doing drugs, and breaking the law. Although she didn't really care, she wanted her mother to be protected and safe from anything that could hurt her, anything at all.

"No, he is different to me Mother." she replied.
"You don't see him like I do, he is a good person." she lied.

She tried not to giggle or snort because she was feeding her mother bull. Paulina had a plan to complete, and lying to her mother wouldn't stop her to call it off. About an hour and a half later they finally reached her mother's house in Atlanta, Georgia, 3 hours away.

"Ah, home sweet home," Paulina said.
"This isn't your home," her mother grunted.
"Oh yeah.. Right." replied Paulina with a sad look in her face.
"Put your stuff in that room, you're sleeping in there, we have an empty room now." her mother's boyfriend said.

Paulina set her stuff down, and her phone rang with a text, Paulina knew exactly who it was. She ran to her bag in excitement and anticipation. She waited for this text for a very long time, she was extremely excited. The text had said to meet downtown Atlanta in a alleyway by this abandoned drug store she use to pass all the time when living with her mom. The time set to leave was 8pm, she had to meet the person at 8:30pm, and it was 7:50. Knowing these type of people though, being earlier would be better; she wouldn't want to cross these people, they could do bad things.

"I have to go Mom!" Paulina said after looking at the clock.

She ran out the door and ran straight to her mother's car. She got in, and speeded downtown because she was so excited.Once she had reached the drug store, she got out with a folder, and the 80,000 dollars. She felt so weird carrying around the money, expescially in these parts of the town. She walked up, and used her lighter to see, and there she saw a man with a black leather coat on, glasses, and a black ball cap. She walked up to him and asked if he was the "one".

"Did you bring the money?" he whispered.
"Yes." said Paulina.
"This is the man I want you to take out, his name is.." she was interrupted.
"It says all I need to know right here," he said.
"So.. I'll pay you 1/4th straight up, and give you the rest later?" she asked.
"Yes.." he said.

Paulina handed over 20,000 dollars to him from the case, but he had a look of un-satisfaction. Paulina was worried.

"What's wrong?" she asked.
"I'm going to need another 300,000 after the job is done." he replied.
"What? We made a deal, 80,000 dollars and you do it!" she whispered.
"Well, this is going to be a hard job, and you can't expect me to only do it for 80,000 can you?" he replied.
"This is the cost of living, if you want it done you have to pay up a little. It cost a lot to make someone loose their life." he said.
"Fine, just get it done." she said.
"I'm going to need another 20,000 to make sure.." he said.
"Fine, here you go," she opened the suitcase.

The man seemed to drop the folder, what fell out was a picture of her father, and his medical history; Paulina was going to have her father killed...

Well I was finishing up the finale, By that time everyone is getting a little too deep, they might get burried alive in all the crime they have caused. Wink I have to glue all the pieces together now, and work on the chapters in between. Shocked
