With Sims 2: Seasons coming out next week I thought I’d make a Seasons-inspired neighborhood or two.  Of course, you don’t have to have Seasons to play it, just that it was made with the advent of farms and fruit and vegetable growing that S2Seasons will bring in mind.

The community is nestled between the mountains and the ocean.  An island, connected by a bridge, sits in the inlet near a sandy beachfront.    Tucked into a hidden valley are winding roads and rich, fertile soil, perfect for farming. The many roads lead up the mountainside and allow for some spectacular views.

Photos show a beachfront lot as well as a view of the bridge from one of the mountain roads.

I created this neighborhood so both those who use the MTS2 Neighborhood Camera Mod and those who do not, can have a good sized community.  Although it would be to the player’s benefit to use the camera mod for this particular neighborhood, it is not necessary.  Even without the camera mod the bridge and most of the island can be seen and played.  Even some of the sandy beach can be used.  But there is much more the small view does not see... the rich fertile valley that is perfect for farmers and even more beachfront property.

The photos show both large view (with camera mod) and small view (without the camera mod).  The camera mod can be found here: (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=97642) if you are interested.  I have tested the neighborhood both ways and either is equally playable.

Other than a few trees, the bridge and standard roads no other additions have been made.  I have EP1 - 4 installed but am not sure one would need them to use this neighborhood (Sorry, I can’t test that theory though.)  The neighborhood was created with Sim City 4 Deluxe with the Rush Hour EP installed.

This neighborhood is being uploaded only to Insimenator.net (my first upload to this site) and is not to appear on any other website, pay or free.  Please honor that.

Thank you for the kind words!  They are very appreciated.  I hope you enjoy the neighborhood and will let me know how its playing for you and especially if you have any problems with it.  Might want to check back... I'll be posting a few more Seasons-oriented neighborhoods in the next few days.

To Mike141: Yes, you have to put the files in your "SC4Terrains" which is under the My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/  subfolder.  Once you un-RAR the file you downloaded you will find a .TXT file inside.  It also gives instructions on where the files go, even more specific than these.  It will even tell you where the .PNG files go and what you have to rename them for them to show up in your City list.  If you have any problems feel free to ask here in this thread or PM me here at Insimenator.net and I'll get back to you right away.

Beautiful!  I've been looking for something exactly like this.  But does it need Pets to function properly?

Sorry--I see you've addressed this in your post.  I'll try it out and see if it works.

Very interesting hood. I have already a totally operational farming system (no disasters in it) and this will be an addition.
I have already downloaded a hood that looks like TS1. Still didn't use but I don't forecast any troubles once it is just pictures and a base empty hood I suppose.
