Thank you very much, I was wondering why it wasn't possible to use some clothes that are really looking like outside clothing, couldn't be used as such.

Thanks a bunch, however I'm a medieval simmer and theres really no outerwear clothing that suits it other than the SUIT OF ARMOUR.  So I'm wondering if its possible to make it into an outerwear item as well.  I would greatly appreciate it!!!

that's ok, i ended up figuring out what the outerwear category code is (0x00001000) and i converted a bunch of custom clothes using simpe.  along with carrigon's no freeze hack my sims are elegantly attired when they go out to have snowball fights Cheesy
