how long does it take for them to return?

My queeny dog ran away and i reported her missing and she had a collar .When i reported this over the phone they said a nieghbor would bring her back to me .Well a couple of days later a nieghbor called to return my dog,but he came over and queeny did'nt show up.I was sad.Then i installed seasons and i played that family and noticed my dog came back home.Coincident i don't know.
