Converting outfits to outerwear

Does anyone know how to do this? There are a lot of outfits that I would like to have converted as outerwear, and, instead of pestering someone to do it for me, I'd like to know how to do it myself.

use body shop export the desird outfit and then place it in the outerwear catagory

Thanks! If this is vague for anyone wanting to do the same, start bodyshop, go to create parts, create clothing, pick your outfit, click export textures (at the bottom of the window). Another screen will show up asking where you want to put the clotes, pick outerwear, and you're done!
