Don't know why this is such a big problem all you need to do is put your hot tub under cover so this lighting strike problem won't happen all the time. I know it sucks for people that like them outdoors but I am sure Maxis with fix this in the next patch. Not saying that this mod will not come in handy for the time being. Thxs Squinge:angel:

I tried it out today, and it's Springtime for my Simmies.  It rained, but it didn't thunder.  I don't think I played it long enough.  I'm testing with another family.  I love the sound of thunder, too!

i dont mine the lightening just wish it didnt hit sims controlled or non controlled . I will be using this as i have already lost half my town due to lightening strikes

PS Gamblor its not just people in tubs that the lightening strikes and its annoying when its your sims visiting from another lot that you cant control that get killed . and to be honest i dont think Maxis will bother doing anything about it as to them its probably just part of their idea of the way the game should work

Well i've been using the weather controller from simwardrobe to make it rain and although it's great that there is no more lightning strikes to worry about it seems the thunder has gone too.

Thank you so much! Lightning isn't friendly to my poor tired computer!
I appreciate your work.

Thanks!  I don't mind having thunder and lightening either, but I really hate having my NPCs & PCs die from lightening strikes.  The frequency of death by lightening is just waaaaay too much to the point of being obscene.  Perhaps you could lessen the chance of lightening and thunder when raining?  I think it's about only one in ten storms that we actually get to see lightening and thunder (even less chance we'd see people get struck by it... TWICE in a roll even, :rabbit:).

What a wonderful surprise to find a "no lightning" mod!  I didn't like the lightning either or the sharp cracks of thunder but I didn't mind the rain or the softer thunder that was often heard during a rainstorm.
I installed the mod and went into the game and directly to a Sims house that seems to draw thunder and lightning like a magnet.  5 rainstorms in 3 Sim days and not one bit of lightning in any of them.  Lots of rain and a good amount of thunder though.  Most of the thunder was the kind you'd hear in the distance but a few were the rolling rumbling kind that was easily discernable.

Excellent job Squinge! My Sims send their thank yous and praise  :worship:... they now have weather again. Smiley
