breakfast plate...flies are annoying

So I had my sims make pancakes one morning, the moment my sim placed it down on the counter it was stuck. Unable to clean up, only options available is. Call to Meal, wondering if its a hack but its the only plate that ever even did this. I used move objects on, and tried to delete but to no avail. So I simply placed it under the trash can outside and now I have flies constantly swirling my trash can. Thing is, lol. It causes no affect except for the flies.

In the past, I've had some plates like that.  No matter what I did I couldn't get rid of it.  I ended up sticking them in the back corner of the lot (it was a big lot).

One way that works I've found is to put the plate you can't delete on a table, then sell the table with moveobjects on.  If you by a cheap one, then sell it on the same day you won't have any depreciation, and no more flies.
