Nightlife and not so visiable houses

Alrighty, so the boyfriend got me all the expansion packs I was missing, those being Nightlife, Open for Buisness and Univerisity.

I had only had Pets and Seasons.

So my question would be, why can't I see the buildings across the street from my sim's houses? I thought I was supposed to see my neighbors with nightlife. I'm so disappointed.

If anyone knows what I did wrong, I would very much appreciate the help. Thank you.

You need to make some changes in your game options.  There's a toggle their to specifically for this.
