hi i'm new to the sims 2 , and i really want to enter contests,but most of them need photoshop,i have photoshop 3.0,but is that good enough?,how do i use it?,and how do i get my ingame pictures?,i would really appreciate help with these questions.thanks!

Take another look.  Very few of the contests on this site require Photoshop.  The only time a program like Photoshop or other imaging program, even as simple as Paint, would be needed is if you want to crop your pictures.

I don't have your photoshop, I have adobe photoshop CS2, but I can help you with this:

How to get your sims pictures:

Go to EA Games folder
Go to Sims2 folders
Go to Neighborhood folder
Find your neighborhood: (N001: Pleasantview, etc.)
Go to storytelling folder
Find the picture you want to edit
Move the pic to an easier accessible folder
Enter adobe photoshop, click the open button
Find the picture in your folder

That's as far as I can get you to. The best advice I can give you is to just mess around with photoshop and make copies of your photos if it doesn't go as planned. Save as JPEG!
