*This is the unfurnished version. For the furnished version, visit my site.

Required EP's
All, no SP's

Features
*This is a COMMUNITY lot made to look partially residential*
Price: Around 45.000
Size: 1x2
Floors: 3
Beds: 1
Baths: 2

This is a small grocer comm lot. It includes a small business on the ground floor and an apartment-like place above. This is a good relaxation point for employees and for those of you with Squinge's sleep on comm lots hack, your sims can live there for a few days or forever. The apartment is decorated to look like an art student lives there (since UIC is across the street in my hood).

I got the business up to level 5, but couldn't get it any further. I am not awesome...

Chicago's Small Retailers

The Cupboard is a corner store I used to frequent after school. It's a store, much like a 7-11, where you can pick up snacks and magazines. I liked these types of stores because it was sometimes a congregation point for the whole neighborhood. The store owner definitely new everyone and always watched over us kids. He also used to give us free ice cream on blazing summer days and defended us to the police when we opened the fire hydrants.

With the introduction of large business chains, like Walmart, most corner stores have gone out of business. It's a shame because corner stores were the foundation of neighborhoods in Chicago and other big cities.

I'll always have a small spot for cornerstores and Ma & Pa shops because they shaped communities. Forget Wal-Mart, give me the bodega down the block. Good work. ^^
