how do i list my sims in order?

in the game on the left sides, it lists 2 adults, then 3 teens, then 3 children, then 2 toddlers.

The problem is they are not in order i would like to be. The youngest teen is listed before the other teens and the eldest as teen3. Same things with children and toddlers, making it this way:

1.Dad
2.Mom
3.Teen3
4.Teen2
5.Teen1
6.Child2
7.Child3
8.Child1
9.Toddler2
10.Toddler1

I'm guessing they sort them by names, which is a bit silly. I want to but them in the right order. Help?

The sort order the game uses is Age, Name.  If you want those of an age group in a specific order, you could rename them so they are in the order you want.  Otherwise the order is unchangeable.

darn it, i dont want to change their names. I chose those names long ago.
