Open up buy mode for community lots?

I'm building a community lot and want to place cars on it but it doesn't show up in buy mode.  Is there a way around this?

Do you mean you want drivable cars, or just to fill a parking lot?  If it's the latter, I think all you need is to download decorative cars.  If not, it's way beyond my scope of comprehension.  Good luck though!

I just want to place them in a parking lot - just for decoration.  But they are blocked out in buy mode.

The only way to buy cars for a community lot would be if you have OFB and open a business on it.  Maybe you could have a sim buy them and put them into personal inventory if you have the correct EP, then place them at the community lot.

There are others, but that's a start.  And because they're decorative, you should be able to purchase them for community lots...at least I think so.
