I have some clothing that I don't want to show up in CAS but I still want to use. Can I put them in collections and have them only show up there?

I am sorry but this is not possible, Jordi at mts2 did made a few mods to hide some of maxis clothes though.
But what you are asking for is not possible unfortunately.
