If you delete a Qpress item can you still use it?

I want to delete my Qpress items to make my computer go a bit faster and I was wondering if you deleted the item you could still use the download..
And another question (Which might be stupid...) I just wanted to make sure if you have too many downloads it can slow down Sims 2 or your computer? Is that true?

Yes, as long as you do not delete the package file from your download folder, you can delete the original you downloaded.

Yes, having a lot of downloads will slow down your computer for sure. Too help, cleaning and deleting the stuff you never use will surely help.
