I'm having trouble with my sims first i can play with a family at their house with no problem but when i go to community lot like a restaurant sometimes there's no waiter and sometimes no chef and then somtimes my sims just freeze and dont move so i'll have to exit back to the neighbor hood screen and after doing that about 3 times the game will just crash i have so many custom downloads i could never find the problem cause its been over a month and its getting frustrating i got a Radeon 1600 Pro video card more than enough ram my Sims 2 folder is around 5 gigs total...I hope someone can help cause i invested a lot of money with pay sites and all plus a few years of my time to have to start over! Ihave all expansions and no stuffs...

Well unfortunately there is no magic solution.

First, try to play without any downloads at all to see if it is anything from your download causing this problem.

If without it your game runs fine. You will have to add batch of cc in your game to isolate the problem.

You can run the hack detection tool found at http://www.simwardrobe.com in case it is a mod conflicting problem.

You can also check with the clean installer found at mts2 to check if nothing weird you are not aware about is in your downloads.

You could try also to update your video drivers, it might help.

As for no cook and server problem, you could try and delete the stove and restaurant podium on the lots they are not showing and replace them with new ones.  If you are using cc one, maybe THEY are the problem.

If you have downloaded community lots you should check your clean installer for any hacks, espeacially for phone hacks.Sometimes i see wierd things like this with community lots. And if you have the insimenator make sure it is updated for latest expansion pack. And see if they have the community cooking stove, the podium ect.Hope this helps.

I forgot to mention that deleting your groups.cache file (found in thesims2 folder) can help too.

I am using a phone hack and it is not causing problem in my game.  Of course, if an outdated version is coming with a download, indeed it can cause problem but nothing related to the problems you are experiencing right now.
