Great job on the mesh.  Though, the crown of thorns nor the masculinity have ever been a problem for me.  What bugs me with movies is when they put the two insurrectionists on the wrong hand-sides.  

If someone messianic wishes to have a male identity and assumes male anatomy, then big deal.  Doesn't mean women don't benefit.  Thorns?  Why not?  But getting hands mixed up?  That's an issue!

Although, I don't see what the big hang up is at masculine heroes.  If the goal is even just to save all men, then it would only be logical to save women as well, even if through a man.  If "it's not right that the man should HAVE to be alone," along with the immediately continued rant of "let's make a suitable partner," then saving men through a man and excluding women from that same salvation makes no sense.  Therefore, since women are not left out, I don't see the issue.  But that's just me.

Anyway, I digress, great job on the thorns.

PS--Hollywood messiahs pretty much have to have Rambo muscles.  It's the industry standard.  I guess it depends on the type of "messiah" being discussed.  I see little point in bulging muscles if your goal though, is to be butchered like sheep to pay a fine.  I'll save any Mel Gibson complaints for another topic.
