When I click the icon to start the game I get the thing where you have to click play, but then I get a window that says -
Conflict with Emulation Software detected.

Any ideas?  My video card is a Radeon x1300 which is supposedly on the supported list for this EP

What system are you running on?  And what Emulations do you have going on?

I dont think I had any emulations going on... I had nothing else running except a few behind the scenes programs. What do you want to know as far as my system.

I seem to remember you were running a Windows based system.  And now not running any emulation software that you know of.

1.  Have you changed your shortcut to bypass the Launcher?  Change the target to "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Bon Voyage\TSBin\Sims2EP6.exe".
2.  Try turning off antivirus and firewalls in different combinations to see if you can get things running if you need to.
3.  Kill any unnecessary processes you can identify with Task Manager.

try deleting the groups.cache file in your MyDocs/EAGames/TheSims2 file.

I had all sorts of problems and EA gave me a ton of useless information.
Through ATI - update your drivers, update DirectX and restart.
Uninstall Bon Voyage, re-install Bon Voyage, and it worked fine.
I hope this might help you.  Good Luck

What about exchanging CDs?  You may have a defective one.

Thats a good idea I will try that when I go into town tomorrow. Thats about the only other thing I can think of its really weird. I thought maybe it was because I installed celebration stuff as well but I uninstalled both of them and tried just BV and it still gave me the same error. Good idea Ancient thanks I will try a new disk.
