Eight All Age Recolors of Peggy Zone Free Male Ponytail in All Four Colors

Black, Chestnut Brown, Blonde, White and Four Red recolor/retextures of Peggy Zone (formerly Peggy Sims 2)
Free Male Ponytail. The style comes in toddler through elder ages and the elder color is the same as the other ages. As I worked with this mesh, I began to realize the potential it had for different looks. I decided to do a retexture of the hair pulled back on the head to give it more detail and depth of color. I modified a texture from
Alkaloid aand XPTL297 to fit this mesh. The bangs and ponytail are Peggy's original textures. Thanks to Peggy Zone for sharing this great mesh with us.

These recolors were done for the Natural Redhead Project to make more hairstyles available in the wonderful naturally occurring shades of red hair. The red recolors are available in four shades: auburn, copper, golden red and strawberry blonde. There is also a blue black, a rich shade of chestnut brown, blonde and an ice white. The recolors are all color binned as described while the white shade is binned custom. It may seem odd to put shades that range from rusty blonde to brown red in the red bin but the goal is to make the full spectrum of red shades available to genetic redheads.

Mesh Information: The mesh is available from Peggy Zone (formerly Peggy Sims 2 ) . The new site now requires a login to download free content.  The file to download is called peggysims2hairmesh0043_erer.zip. It is currently located in Free Downloads > Mesh > Hair Mesh  on page 11. The mesh has an id of FREE - ID: #03114. The uncompressed hair mesh file is called peggyhairmesh0042-male-070825-MESH.package.
These recolors may only be used in Sims distributed by 100% free sites. Do not distribute or include the mesh in any uploads! Link to Peggy Sims 2 and provide directions on where to find the mesh.

Skin: Two skins were used. The heavily freckled skin is a wonderful Oepu recolor by Goldbeere who added freckles!

The other skins is my favorite by JWilson5 Hairy Skins for Redheads, a modified Louis (SimScribbing) skin with AllenABQ body hair. The skin for the normal Maxis body type doesn't require any additional meshes, just download  the Norm-HairyRed-Barbie.rar file for hairy,   SKN-Norm-XhairyRed-Barbie.rar  for extra hairy and SKN-Norm-XXhairyRed-Barbie.rar for extreme hairy (Not to worry, only the males come with body hair ).

Eyes: Alkaloid's Freckle linked Eyes :  Sims created with these eyes also have a freckling on their noses!

Sweaters: The child and teen sweaters are from Rabid Angel's Weekend at the Lodge series at Sims Connection . The child sweaters are free but the teen sweaters are a premium download.

Eyebrows: by Rose Sims 2 on page 8 of Downloads > Makeup. The download file is RoseMmkeup_0045.zip

I have tried numerous times to download this mesh from Peggy's site, everybody's doing recolors of it and your's are awesome but for some reason when I click to download this mesh (on Peggy's site) a new screen opens and fills up with miles of jibberish.  Only this particular hair, though.  It's weird.  I never get the download pop-up.  
You did a great job with the recolor and the natuaral looking reds I guess I'll have to admire it from afar.

I had the same problem myself, and I finally succeeded in downloading it by accessing Peggy's site with Firefox instead of IE7. Maybe you should try Firefox, if you haven't already?

Kaneonapua, you've done a fine job on these ponytails indeed. The textures Peggy released with that mesh just weren't up to par at all, so thanks for sharing these.

I am a huge Firefox user so I never had any trouble downloading this hair at PeggySims2.  I tried using IE just now and got the same page of jibberish myself. I highly recommend trying Firefox.

I just used Safari on my Mac and downloaded it okay.  Sigh, I guess I will send Peggy a note. They had problems with the Special Gift in September but that got fixed after a few days.

I adore these re-colors espcially the reds, I am a fan of the Red Head Project.

But . . . I too am having difficulty obtaining this mesh. When clicking the download the page returns with a lot of unreadable text . . . and the file is not there. Sigh, I guess  this is one I will have to give up ever having. Its a shame I adore the new messy hair look of this one.

Thanks for these Recolours they are good.
For those of you having trouble downloading the mesh from Peggy Sims 2 with IE, I had the same problem so what I did was to right Click on the download box that you click on to download the file and then select 'save target as' and in the window that pops up you should see that the file name it is going to save it as, ends in .Htm instead of .rar so just change the .htm to .rar then save it and it will download properly and work.
