How can I get my own wedding dress to show when your sims marry instead of the crummy one that is maxis built in?

1:WRONG place to put this,this part is for FAQ no questions!
2:just dirrect the dress you want into formal(have your sim buy it and then go to plan outfit on your closet in your game)and choose formal and choose the one you want

Actually, if I remember right, it's more manual than that if you have just the Base Game. I think wearing any formal automatically was added in with Nightlife.
