Try to start Seasons BodyShop?...
I don't know, it should start with BV too, it starts for others (I don't have it).
Maybe you should do a BV-reinstall...

No, I don't think so.
Are those your backups? If so, move them to a save place then start your game, exit, and put the folders back again.
If they're not your backups, simply start the game. It will initialize itself, don't worry. It can even start with a totally empty 'The Sims 2' folder.

What do you mean it didn't work?
You want to start it but it doesn't even launch?

Edit: Here's how you find your Sims 2 folder (I see you don't have it on your desktop).
Go to the Start menu. There should be your My Documents. Click. Then find the folder EA Games, and go in it. There's the folder called The sims 2.
To put back My Documents to you desktop: Right-click on any free spot on your desktop, choose Properties. Go to the Desktop tab and choose Customize Desktop near the bottom of the window. In the General tab you see 'Desktop icons'. Click the one that says 'My Documents'. Click OK, close the window then click Apply.
