I've looked everywhere for info on this, but I've only come marginally close with the results. Given you can't do this in-game even with a cheat, I'm guessing this is a more technical/SimPE question, but here goes:

Is there any way to age a sim down to a baby? I've tried adjusting the age data and property sets in SimPE, as well as changing the age in the sim description, but that alone resulted in an invisible baby with a toddler's head, buggy as the nearby adult couldn't interact with it. Probably missing something, the question is what?

Why am I asking? Story reasons - it's a tad annoying trying to tell a story involving babies when the sims concerned are now adults. I have pics of them as babies but they're old (read: different skintones and taken with in-game camera). I really don't want a mismatch of pictures in my story if I can help it, I'm guilty of doing that enough with past stories already.

If someone in the know can help I'd be eternally grateful Smiley Cheers.

Have you tried using the Insimenator? That might work. Using the Select Age part of the Temporal Adjustor should let you turn Sims back to babies. But I haven't tried that, so I'm just taking  guess.

I've only seen things to set back to toddler, not infants.  For story purposes, you may need to adopt an infant or use InSIM/Tombstone of L&D to force a pregnancy and speed it up.

@chester: The Insim was the first thing I tried, the agesimscheat was the second. On both you could only go back as far as toddler Sad

@ancient: Adoption isn't an option as my sims are awkward; the minute they're born the genetics kick in, like so:

I'll have to force a pregnancy anyway, I'll try that; I'd have to either cross my fingers that I get a similar baby again or pull the old "save before birth" trick, but if that's the only way so be it. Thanks Smiley

The best I could suggest is that you spawn the Tombstone of Life and click on the "New Baby" option using the sim you want the baby to look like.  Of course, there's the opposite gender thing, but at least the baby will look exactly like the selected sim.
