Replace TS2 Lighting With TSLS Lighting?

Is this possible? I really like the lighting that came with The Sims Life Stories and would even consider replacing gun mods lighting file with it for my main game, has anyone ever attempted copying the lighting.txt and putting it in TS2 directory? or should I maybe not do this lol?

Do a backup of the original and give it a go. If it screws anything up, you can always restore the backup.
