I was browsing on EBGames when I saw this..

http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=647228

Maxis really has a big set of @#$#s.  They haven't even patched up Bon Voyage yet and the other one is already in production?

Wikipedia has it listed as "The Sims 2: Hobbies" but EBgames has it listed as "Free Time".  So I imagine they'll be able to sew and build race cars or something?

Then we'll all install it.. it'll cause crashes for those using nvidia cards.. and Maxis will place the blame on Nvidia again.

I'm very shocked to know they haven't worked on a patch yet. I refuse to install BV until there is one. For some reason, I like Hobbies better than Free Time. Hopefully, it's jammed-packed with lots of hobbies to choose from and not like 5 or 6 or something.

I think the whole issue with NVidia cards is somewhat a Windows issue, if Windows doesn't recognize Nvidia "nv4_disp" file then your system will always crash.

Thats weird... the shipping date is set for 2/12/08...
2 December end of next year?

Anyways... as far as "stuff" packs go I have Family fun & Glamour Life.  Not that interested in even more crappy EA made stuff.

More likely going with the American style, it's to be released February 12, 2008.

If the date is 2.12.08 on Ebgames that means Febuary the 12th 08..

Us yanks go.. month.. day.. year.. I believe some other countries go day.. month.. year.  And the Bon Voyage patch is done, as I'm sure you're aware of by now.  But supposedly the patch causes more issues because it uses the newest version of securom.  I for one am not installing it, doesn't seem to solve the biggest issue, which is the nvidia one.  All it supposedly fixes is the random spawning of tour guides and the hack on maty already does that and better.

What free time do sims have anyway? Mine are always skilling or making friends to get promoted. Some in Uni have free time and they spend that on community lots, still skilling, just to get out of the house.
This sounds like a great idea for a stuff pack, I wonder what else they will include to make it worth ep status.
