When ever my sister tries to make a family it gets to about the third loading thing and then it crashes. any help?

it is maybe something corrupted in the downloads or savedsims folders.  try moving them to a secure location (like the desk top) and try running the game with downloads and savedsims - if no problem - then it is a matter of locating the bad file.

No, a savedsims folder is created by the game only if you made sims using bodyshop.

I encountered this problem when I had buggy clothing or accessories, particularly if they were made using a setup that had Pets installed even though it didn't require Pets (and I don't have Pets). Most other objects tend to crash the game before you get to the neighborhood screen, but clothes seem to wait until you've gotten to the CAS. Oh, and I had a problem with custom CAS objects once, too.

All I can think. Sorry if that was no help.
