I downloaded a house and it had some of the furniture turned to a 45 degree angle, but the furniture, I didn't like so much, so I went to go put a new chair there and I can't put it at a 45 degree angle. I know that there is a cheat that can do that, but I have no idea what it is, nor can I find it on any sites...

Can someone tell me what it is?

Press Shift + Ctrl + C to bring up the cheat window, then type in:

boolprop allow45DegreeAngleOfRotation [true/false]

True obviously sets it to where you can, and false turns it back on again. Make sure you do a false one after your done. And not everything is useable at 45 degree angles, so you'll have to test it on different things. Doesn't break your game, just makes it so a Sim can't interact with the object(s).

JCSpecncer, its actually the other way around Tongue, False Turns it off, True turns it on. And the sim CAN sit in angled chairs. It just has to be placed right.

And another cheat I would rccommend when trying to get it exactly where you want it is boolprop snapobjectstogrid [false/true] (false turns it on, true turns it off) this allows you to place objects so they aren't determined by the buy/build mode grid, and when doing angled grid cheat with moveobjects [on/off] to get them just right.

Hope this helps Cheesy

Ugh, sorry, I'm still in the middle of my first morning cup of coffee. But yeah, switch the true/false around. But in my lowly defense, I did say that not everything can be used this way, so some things can. LOL. I do know chairs work, including with the snapobjects off, which I've used for my painting studio. It's kinda cool actually. But anyway, I'll go finish that coffee before offering any more help. LOL.

The Maxis system is kinda retarded. Sometimes case matters, sometimes it doesn't. Heck, you can even type "move_objects" or "moveobjects" and they both work. Don't make a whole lot of sense, but I always type it the way I posted above, and never had a prob. *shrug*

I agree with Spencer, the Maxis system is idiotic, but you never capitilize a letter in boolprop, just take that as a rule of thumb.
