Can this be done? I downloaded some skintones that replaced the defaults but they look really bad in my game. I tried deleting the files, but that didn't work. Can someone help me fix this?

You need to delete the thumbnail package in My documents, ea games, sims 2.

^^ Nope.  That just deletes the thumbnails in the game, which makes it an even longer wait while trying to go through hair, accessories, and clothing bins on the CAS screen, and even when buying clothing/changing a sim's appearance.  It does nothing in getting rid of the default replacements.

Marilyn, what you need to do is find the name of the default skin replacement files you put in your Downloads folder, then move/delete them out of your "The Sims 2" directory.  The original Maxis skintones should show up, just like they normally did before.  Wink
