Warning :
It is so realistic with freckles, wrinkles, scars, and natural tone lipsticks  that it looks quit gross. I try to make a sim that looks really realistic for this thread and use it for my simarts.

It is my selfsim. I have made a lot of versions and this is realistic version. It is too realistic, if you ask me.

I prefer realistic one for sims of people I know like myself, my friends, my family, etc, but it freaks me out sometimes because it look too much like human.


But I still have fun killing them by delete pool ladder and other things.

I prefer somewhere in between, actually. Most of my sims are somewhat realistic, but also, kinda cartoony as well. For my celebrities, I try and get as close as I can, without taking any of the 'simmish' look off them. That's mainly why I dislike sims with photoskinned faces, it just looks weird to me. ._.

Cartoonish sims are just not good at all, I prefer realism all the way, no matter if the sims are actual people or if they're made up sims. If they look odd in any way like that, they stay out of my game cuz I wouldn't want them looking bad at all so yea I prefer real sims instead of cartoons.

Opposite spectrum for me... I like my sims cartoony to a point.  (...it's quite obvious, really.  :lol:)  Though, I can't stand the look of some of the "anime" looking sims out there... there are a good number of exceptions, but there are many of those older ones that just look plain outlandish and weird.  

The same can go to realistic sims, too.  I'm not partial to the "shiny" looking ones, because it takes away the effect of the game to me.  Besides, I already have an overactive imagination... seeing "realistic" people in a game scares all heck outta me, and I tend to start thinking "... what if this was for real?" whenever I see them... then it takes a turn for the worse, and I have nightmares about it sometimes.  :shock:

So I'm kind of in between, but more on the cartoony effect.  Not too goofy-looking and not too real that it's scary.

I think I prefer a bit on the realistic side myself. I prefer soft hair to box looking, starry eyes as opposed to maxis flat, etc.... I also prefer realistic clothing and body shapes (I love the sexy feet!).

I'd prefer more realistic sims-the cartoony types do not do much for me, because I like to think of my sims as being almost real people (in another dimension, of course).
That's why I always download realistic stuff for makeup, hair and skins.

I pretty much agree with you there; except, for me, I don't have nightmares.  I just feel really guilty about turning my computer off. :shock:

i prefer semi realistic too some sims freak me out because they look so REAL. but am not a big fan of cartoony either.

I lean more towards realism - I can get pretty anal about things like eyelids and feet, and I have a ton of default replacements in my downloads to take away that Maxian cartoony feel. The lack of textures for their hair, e.g. does my head in after a while.
