Greetings,

Alright for the past.. week or so, my bodyshop loads black.

Its completely black with little grey boxes all over it. I've removed recent things I've put into my downloads to no avail.

Can anyone help me? I'm at my wits end.

Thank you.

Have you tried updating your DirectX and video drivers?

Try dragging your Projects, SavedSims and Downloads folders out of the game (like to your desktop).  If the problem goes away, it's something in one of the three, but I suspect Projects, since the game uses Downloads and SavedSims.  Put the three folders back one at a time and try BS each time.

Good luck!

Alrighty, update..

So I've updated my drivers and my directX, I sifted through stuff and cleaned out so many duplicates and goodness knows what.. I'm so tired. Been at it for so many hours I do not care to recall.

And finally, bodyshop loads, I go in and .. they are flesh people. Their flesh is OVER their clothes.

Now if I use my custom stuff, there's no problem. But its as if all the textures in the ORIGINAL maxis stuff is gone.

WHat could possibly have done that?

Thank you for any and all help.

A very tired,

  Gosh... maybe a game file did get corrupted... Sad  I know there's a way to fix it without doing a complete re-install, but I can't remember which file it is to extract from the CD... not sure if it's the objects(?).package or something else.

I'm sure someone knows the answer though, and they'll get back to you on it as soon as they can.  Wink

*sighs* After a good amount of testing and retesting and moving and shifting and downloading programs to help me.

It is confirmed, a game file is corrupted. Sad

I am going to have to do a reinstall.

I have the camera mod that's awesome, should I take out my camera folder as well as my saved sims, projects and downloads folders?

THanks!

Update:

Alright so I have uninstalled my latest EP easons and reinstalled it, and the game is still corrupt.

I am not sure what to do now. Should I just uninstall the ENTIRE game?

Or is there a way for me to save what I can and just... I guess have to start fresh? Ugh...

Any help would be SO appreciated,

a very frustrated,
