Jean is quite handsome, he reminds me of someone, I can't think of the name, but an actor -- sort of a lot like a younger Brad Pitt, but not Brad Pitt *thinks hard*... maybe Paul Walker ... hrm ... anyway he is FINE! I'd eat him with a spoon!

So I myself quite like this young gent, but he shows up all 'wrong' in my CAS. I'm not new to this whole Sims 2 thing, actually, but I've always been baffled by the premade Sims and how they appear in CAS. He's actually several pages back in my CAS screen (which happens sometimes, but mostly the new ones show up in the 'front'), and he has different hair, and his piercings don't show up at all. I downloaded the one bit of CC that was linked to (thinking that since it was the only one with a link, it was the only one that required a seperate download), so I am not sure exactly what I am doing wrong.

This is certainly not the only Sim who this has happened to for me, but this is the first one I've truly been sad to see it happen to.

Reluctantly human, I don't think you are doing anything wrong.  Preview images of Sims are usually from in-game and don't necessarily present the Sim as packaged for a number of reasons, usually because the makers of sime items don't allow re-distribution of content.

Where a Sim will show up in the Sim Bin is anyone's guess.  The mechanism that determines the sorting order is not well understood.

The hair mesh by Shadylady482 and the hair recolour by Udontknow (both at MTS2) are included in the Sims2Pack, so I don't know why these are not displaying in your game.  Probably the randomly occuring catalogue bug that most players suffer from time to time.

the facial piercings -- not in the Sims2Pack -- are by Temptress at MTS2: http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=148466.

The clothing and necklace in the images are not included.  Probably out of respect for the re-distribution policies of the creating artists. I don't recognise them, perhaps someone else does?

I think I did end up finding the hair, but as it did not default to showing up on the cataloged Sim, I was not sure if it was the same one or not. I was not even certain I had the right Sim (who can keep track of how many random Sim men they've downloaded over the years), but now that I see the piercings were not included, I suspect it is the right one. Thank you for your help.
