I has tried The Sims 2 with the expansion packs (Including Seasons and H&M Fashion Pack) it works fine except the sounds. IT SOUNDS DISTORTED:bawl:

System Info

OS:Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium

RAM:1024 MB

Video Card:NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE

System:HP Pavilion Slimline s3020n

Sound Card:Realtak High Definition Audio Card

Processor:AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+ 2.00 GHz

What do I do to stop the sound distortion Over Windows Vista?

I had a sound issue when Vista was first released, also had a nvidia card, it seemed that it wasn't so much the sound card as the graphic drivers were needed to be updated. So I would check and make sure both of your drivers are updated.

Its because your graphics card isnt meant for gaming. It just for casual things like internet browsing, running applications etc. You should upgrade, seriously.

I have almost the same computer.  Mine is the S3120n.  My husband had to put in a new graphics card for me because my video was looking so jerky.  It was very hard to find a decent card to fit in the very small case.  I forget which card I ended up with, but video is still not the best.  What did you end up getting and how is it working for you? (I realize this is old post so don't know if anyone is following it).

I have finally discovered the problem. The sound was sputtering. I can tell, because that's what it sounds like. I'm sorry to say this. Sad
