Some Custom Content Not Working!!!

I recently got a new laptop for xmas, and I transferred my CC from my old laptop onto my new one, and it only shows some of my cutom content, but no make-up or hairstyles, yet some of my old sims from my old laptop, still have the custom make-up and hairstyles....and i was wondering, i remember someone telling me ages ago about having to download something for them to work, I have insimenator which works on my game...But does anyone know what is wrong?? Id really appreciate some help.

You can try to move your Downloads folder out of the Sims 2 folder, then load the game, quit, move again the folder and with chance the custom content will be there.

Yeh Ive already done that, Ive even uninstalled my game and reinstalled it, I did, the MTS2 Wiki Article, and you have to download some objects, and the house, the wall paper, the floor and the bedding worked, but the sim, the t-shirt and the hair didnt...Im so confused, Ive got all the right meshes, Ive got CEP, I just dont know what to do anymore....
