I almost never start businesses anymore, though I guess it's something I should consider doing since I'm getting quite bored with my game. I recall one of my sims opening up a nightclub, which was actually quite successful. Well, nightclubs are infinitely easier to run than restaurants or stores, anyway imho.

Glad you like them, the pink radio is the hack for the ballett thing, there is another radio for the kickboxing,I gave you the links to those hacks. As I said, you have to become a member but is free.I'm a member of many sites because of the dl's but  this is the only forum I'm posting to.
Good luck with the DL/s.
I don't know which EP you do have,if you have Seasons you could make a massage bussiness combined with beauty shop.
I love restaurants,it's a lot of job but it's a nice bussiness.
Night clubs are funny to run too,use the card playing table, the bowling, the disco board(my english is not that good,I hope you understand me),the pool table, the game machines you find on Electronics(I don't know the name right now),a buffet, some tables and take a lot of money for the tickets like 2 or 3 hundred, the sims will pay.Make a nice environement with dark walls, lamps, red couches(make the whole thing black and red),some paintings, the sims love to play cards, bowling, pool, everything,Use the motive adjustor from Insim and you can run the nightclub several days in a row.And you need only a person to sell the tiketts.I'l take a look at my bussinesses and I'll give you some more ideas if you want.

The club is already closed but custumers refuse to go home. This is the only successfull home bussiness for me.

I've started a new, clean game (under a different login) with little custom content (sidebar: wow! It loads so fast!). I've decided that the neighborhood should be self-sufficient. Currently, I've only got a furniture store and a soon-to-be grocery store selling fresh fruits, veggies, and fish from the local farm. I'm trying to have a clothing store run by the farmer's wife, but I can't seem to find the clothing racks:dontknow: Anywhoo, running a business in the sims is really quite interesting. In my old game, I had a furniture store, and found myself cheating and giving customers gold stars through a hack. I'm trying to be on my best behavior now, though. I've also got a "bank" using Monique's bill payer mod. It's really just a sim that people can borrow money (with interest) from.

If you want a bit of a head start on a couple businesses theres some nice pre-stocked community lots at http://www.thesporum.net/smf/index.php?topic=1764.0

some of the pre-stocked stuff are craftables. Sometimes I'll set up some owned businesses but never take the owner to them (owner gets a regular job and the business never needs re-stocking) but I will take my other playables to them to buy stuff.

Hi,Tinkerbell,I tried the links I gave you,they lead nowere,sorry.
I gave you the correct link to Sims2Workshop there you click on Carrigon's picture ,then look for her Miscelaneous hacked objects, you'll find the Ballet dance stereo and the Kickboxing stereo,I think Seasons it's required but I'm not sure.
Then take a look at" Carrigons misc.meshes, clones, recolours" and you'll find "Bussy Bee CandlesNhoney",a very nice bussiness, and even the "Cofee house Set.
Hope it helps.

Well, it might've only been me who didn't know this, but apparently, you can't take your sim to  your other sim's home business. Kinda ruins the idea, for me.
