any way to make it so it only refreshes employees, and not sims who live in the home business?
Ok i just changed it so you can enable/disable owner auto refresh.

I second this. This works incredibly well, keeps the employees working, but unfortunately the sim who lives there, never sleeps, eats, etc. The other problem is that it seems to refresh the customers and they will not leave the shop even when the closed sign is up. (not sure but that may be one of my other mods)

The other problem
It must be another mod causing the customers to stay because the only way this refreshes customers is if you click on the refresh customers menu.

Going through them now. Most of my mods are yours that I have left. Only a couple from Two Jeffs.

I had your original version of this, and the only problem I ran into was customers occasionally freezing in front of the cash register and holding up the line.  The only way to fix this was to use move objects on and delete the bugged customer.  Taking the sign off the lot stopped the problem from happening, so I'm curious as to whether you were aware of this before and have fixed it with this version?

That has never been reported before & I have never experenced it myself with the painting, but before I ever made the painting I had customers get stuck like that at the register so i think that bug is from maxis.

Ah, I see.  It must have been coincidence, then.  Thank you for responding. Smiley  And thanks for the updated hack, too.

As requested I posted an alternate version that keeps all sims enviroment motive maxed, the owner/employee auto refresh is disabled by default in the alternate version but you can enable them if you wish.

Thanks so very much for the max environment! Woot! Cheesy

EDIT: I just tested this in the game and it works fine.

However, I was just wondering, is there any way to recolor this painting so it's invisible in the game? The triangle painting is such an odd shape that it's a little hard to cover up with a normal painting over it.

See, all I'm using it for is the max environment options. Smiley I'm not using the other functions... well, at the moment anyway, so I just used 'moveobjects on' and hung a bigger painting over it. lol

Like I said though, the triangle shape is a little hard to cover in the game.
