I found this info at mts2 . go to sims 2 folder at the bottom you will find groups.cache ,accessory.cache ,content registry and cigen.package
i deleted them . the game remakes them so don't worry . there was other ways but this one worked for me.

I deleted that, but the game keep crasing. Thanks anyway.

There wasn't any crash before Bon Voyage installation ?

Try to play without your downloads to see if a cusom content is involved. Smiley

I have the same problem, reinstalled the game and played without any downloads.
But the problem is still here.
Also I have the error D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE.
So I contacted NVidia and EA about the above problems.
They keep pointing their fingers to each other.
So sorry I can't help you, but maybe it's a comfort that there are more people like you

D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE is a DirectX error.  Try updating the DirectX drivers (microsoft)

For both of you having this problem, could you please tell us what video card you have? What I would do at this point is make sure it's supported.

I have NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE
Update Version: 6.14.11.6921 (can play for an hour).
All the other updates didn't work (could play for a half hour).

Hmm, that should work. Did you game post an error log? If so, maybe you can attach it to a post in this thread so we can take a look. There might be some clues there.

I am no programmer or able to read code, but from what I see as a problem, your RAM is low, that was a problem for me before I bought more memory. It could be programs running in the background, or some type of software running and using a boatload of your memory.

I use to have the same problem with my game crashing after 1 hour of play, considering the amount of CC I have in my game, I knew I needed more memory. LOL Cheesy

The log shows your free memory to be 272 mb...the game needs 512 mb (if you have Vista you need 1 gb). Try shutting down all unnecessary background tasks to free up more memory and see if you can run your game, but I would seriously suggest you upgrade your RAM.

You could also increase, even double, your virtual memory.Do you usualy get the message"your virtual memory is too low"?
Anyhow,if your ram is only 272 mb you are lucky you can play EPs at all.I have 500 mb RAM on my old pc and I wasn't able to instal any EP,I had to buy a new pc,lol.
But if you want to double the virtual memory I can tell you how.
