Does anyone know how to defeat MicroSoft Vista's Public Folder's grabbing the SIMS launch icons during installation? Specifically, when installing SIMS games to my external Drive, while logged in under my specific user's profile/desktop, Vista puts the SIMS games icons in the C:\Users\Public\Destop, while correctly installing game on my external drive. Sims games launch ok, but every SIMs games icon is ALSO placed on EVERY OTHER USERS DESKTOP, and if they move or mess with icon, it kills game/messes it up for everyone...
Note that Vista does not allow moving or deleting the Public folder, and that Public folder is not set to share priviledges... FRUSTRATING!! CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME?
