(Hello Mavi´Studio it appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks, why not take a few moments to ask a question, help provide a solution or just engage in a conversation with another member in any one of our forums?)
I barely not me endeavor in converse here for two motives: first use a translator, second to last time in that I asked help did not I obtain no answer. I finished uncovering alone, the solution for my problem, and I put here that solution.

Hello that last expansion abused the bugs. I found another exasperating bug, you have available lands of beach, so much residential, as commercial. The commercial one functions that is a beauty, but the residential one has an error. You do your houses in the brink of the beach, save the project in the catalogue, put it of news in the Neighborhood, put your family and function perfect. However that alone house function for this family, if will resolve to change the family and put in another one marries everything well, but will be put another one family in that house of beach that ja was used, the beach function not. she should be detonated and put another one like that is in the catalogue then will function for this new family. functions also will go put in the catalogue I join with the family It put in the Neighborhood looked good, but withdrew the family for by another one, home be bungled.
they forgive me the English I use a translator.

Mavi, this problem with the beach lots has been around since BV came out.  In another thread, Jinx mentions some attempts he's done to put pre-built homes on beach lots onto other locations.  It sounds similar to what you've experienced, the first lot worked but the rest did not.  With what you've found, the first family works, but for them to move out completely and another family moves in, sounds consistent with what Jinx has found.

Maybe someone can find a what to fix this issue, but until then, bulldozing the house, as you suggest, seems to be the only solution.

I thought that only happened with the "smaller beach lots" I downloaded. Now I see that happens to all beach lots.  I think the problem with the beach functions, the portals get sold with the belongings.  When I tried to replace the portals, it don't work.  That's something I have to research on. Seriously, beach front lots can not be binned and reused...PERIOD! Only the original will function as planned. Whoa, was that succinct for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG! Maybe we have a cure for the "jinx!" I have to check this out. It would be so great to be able to reuse houses if these are the proper fixes. Currently doing a hula based slap dance in anticipation!

EDIT: Inge Jones is a genius! I just checked the link to Simlogiocal and found this:

BEACH PORTALS FOR NORMAL LOTS. I am not sure that this will fix the reused binned beach lots problem but I am hoping that Inge will read this and make it clearer. In any case, she has made it possible for us to have additional beach properties...YEA!

I asked about it in her forum and she said that it would work to
restore the swimming functions in borked/binned BV lots.

I don't know if there is an issue with building sand castles/digging
on binned BV beach lots- but I seriously doubt that this will fix that
issue (if it exists.)

Actually, on the borked beach lots I did have the option for building sand castles/digging. Sadly, I never tested if the option worked as I was so bummed that I couldn't get my Simmies to swim. I want to believe that the options other than swimming would still work. I am worried that there will be a problem with the hammocks on non vacation lots as I finally had a freeze when choosing the option on a Bluewater beach lot.

OY VEY, MARIA! There is still so much to test!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, I have those portals.  When I tried using it, I couldn't get the swimming to work.  Everything works fine, like sandcastle building, digging for seashells, sunbathing, etc.  Maybe it is the way I placed them. :dontknow:

it is likely that it's the placement.  It should be 16 clicks down from the highest point (the beach) to the lowest point (the sea bed.)

When I tried it out, I had to adjust the height of the ocean to varying levels- so that it wasn't a straight 16 click drop from the beach.

Also, make sure that when you place the portal the arrow on the portal faces away from the water.

That sounds like a major problem jazzi04. Was it one of the maxis lots or custom? Is it residential or community?

I think that maxis should address the problem with beach lots, missing portals when getting a lot from the bin, or whatever is borken in it. I wonder if I should make a complaint, or would it matter?

Lewis not that Maxis will pay attention but, at least, we can have the satisfaction of asking them to address a stupid problem that they (unintentially?) created. Be our hero yet again!
