Sims can visit residential lots

is there such a hack that sims can visit their families or friends or neighbors? I would love to see my sims visit other sims.

As far as I am aware, this is not possible to do and I have never seen a hack that could do it. I kinda doubt you could do it, really, without making some very big changes to game mechanics..

The only real hack you can use to make them "visit" is the teleporter shrub from Inge Jones; it lists all of the families and townies in your game. It's available from her Simlogical site. You can also use it to make them all go away...quick!

There is no way a sim you're controlling can visit a residential lot.  However when playing a residential lot, you could use the technique MaryH suggests or the InSIMenator to bring playable sims to the lot, then make them selectable.
