Ah what a relief! I completely forgot about this section. Yer ol' pal has gotten into meshing lately but darned if I haven't had a problem with that age old neck gap bug that has been plaguing the S2 community for a donkeys year! But BlooM pointed out to me on a another thread that it was likely caused by milkshapes "forgetting" the correct bone assignments or some such and not the original rounding problem as it was years ago.

Lo and behold, the ol' boy was right  Cheesy

And I've come to learn that my entire mesh is not ruined, as I still have three different bone assignments on my upper arm

So my question is this: Currently I have 65% of my neck verts going to the neck bone assignment, and 35% going to spine2. Can anyone tell me what the correct assignment should be, that includes the head, to eliminate the gap? All meshes that are freshly imported have the same, so I can't simply look at an unaltered mesh to get a point of reference....

uhm, those are the correct ones, just checked.
So you dont see the gap in bodyshop?
Only with more extreem animations in the game?

And if you import a reference mesh the verts positions are also identical?

Strange.......thinking......

Just try to check these things:

Outfit and mesh are based on the same maxis files?
Like, for instance you cloned the afbodydresslongloose and attached a mesh to it based on the afbodydresslongloose?

You didn't use a diffrent skeleton(male?) when you started.
Dont think so as you see large diffrences i think, not sure tho.

Besides that i can only think that the skeleton has been moved but normally you see that immidiatly.
Start/import with a fresh new maxis mesh(afbodynaked orso)
Import your own mesh(dont import the skeleton Wink )
Delete the maxis meshes and export(this will give you a new skeleton)
Maybe that will do the trick....
