Okay, this might be a stupid question but if you dowloand a collection file, do you still have to dowload all the objects of set? I've never really used collection files, so I had to ask.

I don't. I still like the collection file for the things I want out of the set. Sometimes I'll download a whole set then not want to keep a part of it in my game so I go into the collection and delete it after I delete the recolors for it.

Oh, okay. So it's enough alone and makes the downloading more simpler. Thank you. :daisy:

no- you do have to download the corresponding objects.  collections are just shortcuts to the items in a particular set- they make it easier for you to locate something in the catalog.  If you don't download the objects/meshes all you'll have are empty collection folders.

download the set
download the collection

unzip the set and put it in your downloads folder or subfolder

unzip the collection file and put in into the collections folder.
\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Collections

you can remove items from a set that you don't want and still have the collection work for the items you decided to keep.
