How do I make a skintone from scratch?=/*newbie*

Is it possible to make a skintone from scratch?If so,can someone please inform me or give me a link to a tutorial? I can't seem to find one.I'd really appreciate some help <3 thnx.

I think all the skintones arround are based on the originals from Maxis.
So you clone the original with bodyshop and use them as a base for your own.
Works the same as recoloring a outfit unless you want a skintone that has dxt3 formats wich are better.
In that case you need the knowledge to work with Simpe and import the textures manually.

How do you actually clone the skintones,though?DX And I had actually replaced Maxis skintones with defaults...

Never mind-I just need to know how to actually color the skintones ^^; I know how to color,I just need to know what do I color and such.

remove your default replacement skins and then go into bodyshop.
start a new project by cloning the original Maxis skintone.
The skintone will be unpacked(kinda) in like 28 bmp files.
They will be located in your projects folder and those you can edit.
When the editing is done you go back to bodyshop and package all the files by finishing your project.

there are 28 files
every age and gender has 5 files except the child and toddler
the teen throug adult have each 3 bodyfiles for Fit/Fat and normal state and all have a hair and face file.
