System: Windows Vista, NVidia GeForce 7600GS, Sims2 + Seasons + University + Night Life

Problem: When I download a hair style, and I look under the asterick, it always turns into a hairstyle I already have (brown).  I believe I am putting the files in the correct location because some of the custom things I have downloaded are working (using .package files). It seems that some custom things work and some do not. For example the custom eyes types I have downloaded work great, but hairstyles do not, niether do the wings.

Thanks you so much for any help you can provide!!

sounds like you forgot to download the mesh. The default brown stringy hair parted in the middle shows up instead, when you don't have the mesh.
Go back to whereever you downloaded the hair, and try to find it, lol. Then it should show up.
Also, make sure you have custom content enabled to let CC show up in game.
