Hi! If anyone is able to help me.  I uninstalled all of my Sims 2 and started over. Installed Sims 2, no problem, tried to install University, got a message "Could not  install E:\TSBin\Sims2EP1 exe from the media."  It then gave me a choice of retrying or canceling the installation.  It couldn't retry though.

Would anyone be able to help me with this problem?  I don't want to install the rest of my expansion packs until I can fix this.

Thank you!

Mary

Is your disk clean?  Most of the reading errors occur when there's a spot/scratch/smear on the part of the CD that contains that specific data.  Try cleaning it and finishing the installation then.  Wink

(And a mod/admin might be able to move this to the help section for ya.  It's kinda in the wrong place at the moment, but that's all good.  )

I am reinstalling my game, and I got problems with the uninstall part of the process.  I cancelled the installation and took out the disc, checked it for defects and put it back. Then it installed the game. Hope that helps!

This ep was murder to reinstall for me too. It took me several tries and only worked when I turned off my anti virus. I left the firewall on, but was off the net. I have Norton's which I see they are blaming for the Nvidia crashing issues now.
