I made this video as a gift to my friend Alan Merrill.  He has written and performed several songs covered by many other artists, the most popular being Joan Jett's cover of his rock anthem "I Love Rock n Roll."

This video is a machinima visulaization of his 1978 demo, "When The Night Comes."

When R&B legend Lou Rawls covered this song as the title track to his 1983 album, it was taken into space by the first black astronaut in history, Gulon Bluford. It was the first LP ever in outer space.
