Harlech Castle is an example of a concentric castle. The castle was built (between 1283 and 1290) for Edward I by his master mason James of St George.

Its nucleus is a quadrangular inner ward surrounded by a high curtain wall with strong round towers at the corners and a powerful gatehouse in the middle of the east side.

The floor-plan of the castle is based on the Shawn J. Brown's series of plans for Harlech Castle at http://shawnbrown.com/maps/, and features a Great Hall, Kitchen, Bakehouse, Chapel and Granary.

The lot comes fully furnished and I have also included an unfurnished lot if you prefer to do your own decorating. Once again I have tried to keep close to the period and you will find no electronic devices such as telephone, fridge, TV, etc.

Statistics:
Required Episodes: I have included two furnished versions:
1) Harlech - Furnished - Seasons which requres the Sims 2 Holiday Edition, University, Nightlife, Open For Business, Pets, Seasons
2) Harlech - Furnished - AL which requires all expansion packs from the Sims 2 to Apartment Life. (ceilings that are more appropriate to the era have been used)
3) The unfurnished version was built with all expansion packs from the Sims 2 Holiday Edition to Free Time installed.
Stuff Packs: Happy Holiday Stuff, Glamour Life Stuff, Family Fun Stuff

Recommended Downloads:
1) To complete the castle I recommend that you download the Blacksmith Set by buntah http://personal-computer-tutor.com/sims2/sets.htm, which I have not been able to include with the lot.
2) For the Bakehouse I recommend that you download the Bakeable Country Bread, part of the Dark Project. You can find this in Post 11: New object meshes.

I would like to say thank you to the above creators for allowing their content to be included in lots and I apologize if I have forgotten anyone.

If you have any problems with the castle, such as the lot not showing up in the Lots and Houses Bin, please let me know.

Good job! I've been looking for a decent castle for some time now. All the others I've found are either crampt or so big with so many useless rooms it isn't worth the lag. Thanks! Now I have a good castle to use in my "Prince and the Pauper" recreation.:-P
