Sadie, I think with the patch installed the car freeze has been worse.

Big lots take a bit longer to load. Pre-patch my game took about 7 or 8 minutes from start up to neighborhood screen. Entering a lot took about 2 to 3 minutes more. Now it takes almost 15 minutes for the same play. I have loads of D/Ls (of course). At this time I have 4.4 GIGS of D/Ls!

My PC is far from anemic. It is 4.6 GHZ, 2 Gigs of RAM, ATI 1650 Pro. All I can say is GRRRRRRR!

OMFG! I'm starting to think my sims don't need jobs! I'm so tried already about the car lag thing. I think it's funny though that this is worse after the patch and it's even an issue at all. In all the EPs since nightlife when has lag due to the cars ever been an issue?

The new patch should overwrite the current FT (failure time) patch.

The saddest part is that this has happened before, with BV I do believe :angry7:

EA “patches” suck! I installed Pets patch which did not fix issue of pets "sinking" into ground, so I uninstalled game and reinstalled without patch. Then I patched Seasons and game would either never load or crash immediately after start. Again I uninstalled and reinstalled without patch. BV patch crashed game too. FT patch caused error message for every character. Guess I'm just a slow learner. LOL

*raises hand* So do they have an official patch out yet? I got this game a while ago and have yet to install it.

My fully loaded TS-2 Freetime [1v13d0d148] was running fine until I updated 'XP' to 'SP3' and now I too have noticed some 'lagging'... Shocked

Annoying really, as this patch went straight in - no errors and the game has been very stable again!.

* Strangely, it's still available for download at 'Gamershell.com' - so beware.
