I just want to know if downloaded sims will work on The Sims Castaway stories. I cannot access the custom content symbol. Did i have to enable it in-game?

You can, I am not the one that can help you much though. I hope whoever comes to your rescue can maybe help us both out. I got all my "CC" to work last night in Castaway. However, I'm not sure at which point, but when I looked again my custom skin had reverted to a Maxis skin. Am I doing anything wrong or will this happen anyway? All the other "CC" like hair, makeup etc. is still fine, only the custom skin. Blur gone too.

Thanks in advance.......

drakl0r - in Castaway Stories you will need to look at the in-game settings to make sure you have custom content enabled -- in my game the custom content displayed without any issues once I had created a downloads folder.

You will need Sims2Pack Clean Installer or SimPE (use the Open Sims2Pack tool) to extract the various parts of the custom sim from the Sims2Pack, place the extracted files all in the Castaways Stories downloads folder, then the custom Sim will not display in a Sim bin like in The Sims 2, however you will be able to access the "head" via the second tab in CS CAS.  You will need to select the custom skin tone (if one is used for the Sim) to see the head as an option.  Heads appear only when they are used by a sim using that skin tone.

Here are the Castaways bonus items to get you started. Extract the files from the ZIPs and then double click the various SimsCSPacks to get them installed. This will get your CS downloads folder created in the right place.

no. You can't use pre-made sims in this game.
