Absolutely beautiful sim. The dress is not regency, but more Romantic period/Civil War in dress. Good Job regardless.

Think Jane Austen for Regency.

Think Gone with the Wind for the Romantic Period.

There's your mini history lesson. I'll go back into lurk now.:lurk:

Isn't this more Romantic and Victorian (practically the same thing, as the Romantic Age started and ended in the Victorian Era), rather than Regency, which is reminiscent of ancient fashions and known for simplicity (after the French Revolution, no one wanted to outwardly appear as an aristocrat).
It is a lovely compilation, however. Smiley

Gorgeous! I love the roundness of her face! So many narrow chinned sims out there...I really am attracted to round and square jawlines. Beautifully done, thank you! =)

I don't know what you guys are saying with "Romantic Era" but there is no such thing.  Unless, you count 'Romanticism' but it's was an artistic and literary movement.  English Poets like John Keats, Percy Bysshe Shelley and Lord Byron were notables romantics.  But there is no mention of fashion; Romanticism was an 18th century movement, the Victorian Era took place in the 19th century.

The Antebellum - American civil war period took place in the same century but years later.  The era of Southern Belles and cotton plantations (Gone with the wind and all that jazz).  Thought, I don't know much about U.S History, I lean more towards English culture.

Anway the Regency dresses, were a exception the the age of full-skirts, corsets and etc... Regency fashion was influenced by neo-classical tastes. Also, in Paris, anti-aristocratic feeling were quite strong so nobody wanted to appear too rich.  The dresses had a high waist and loose skirt.  Material used were muslin.  It was simple but very elegant...I love the English Regency.
Notables of this Era was Jane Austen and Sir Walter Scott.

I'll stop my rambles...me being a history freak :S

I'd say that the dress style is "Old South" that skirt looks very crinoline-like.  But ya the colour of the dress is lovely and her features as well :3
