I've been looking everywhere with what little time I have, and I can't find a tutorial or explanation for how to package in-game sims for sharing with others. I'm talking about sims that I created with Create-A-Sim, not Bodyshop.

I have all EP's up to and including Bon Voyage, if that makes a difference.
I also have the latest version of SimPE and the Sims2Pack Clean Installer.
I thought there was a way to do this with SimPE, but I couldn't figure it out.

ANY help, even if it's just to point me to a tutorial, would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks.

Pierreandre, that is a tutorial for people that made their sims to share with bodyshop and the requester specifically said that they are in-game sims created in CAS so that tutorial is not what the person needs.

You will need to use Sim-Pe in order to extract sims from your game, here is a tutorial on how to do that, just follow the Step 1 part only:  http://www.insimenator.org/showthread.php?t=18184

Before you do all this, make sure you already have a subfolder call "SavedSims" in your sims2 folder since if the folder does not exist SimPe won't create it and it won't be able to save the sim you will extract.

Once that is done, you'll just need to .zip or .rar the package file created by the game and post them.

Thank you VERY MUCH MissDoh (and Pierre for trying).

You have NO IDEA how many headaches you've saved me. :smt120

So, once a sim is posted, how do you bring them into your own game? Or would it just be a matter of putting the extracted .rar contents intot he SavedSims folder?

Sorry if this has been covered Smiley

If a Sim has been "packaged," which is what i was seeking a tutorial for, then you need only have the Sims2Pack Clean Installer and a program (such as 7-Zip or WinRAR) to install the Sims into your game. You can then find them in Bodyshop or Create-A-Sim.
