Wow!  Thats an interesting way of documenting what happens ingame!  I love it!
Well...I think it should definately have a gossip column, maybe manners by Mrs.Crumplebottom or an advice column lol!  A classified section with pet adoptions if you have pets maybe?  Front page scandal, A supernatural watch maybe with ufo landings and abductions, birth announcements, obituaries, accident reports shoot the list goes on and on.
Marriage announcements, divorces ecetera...
It sounds awesome can't wait to read it!

Yes, that is a great idea-with columns by Mortimer Goth on financial matters, Dina or Nina Caliente on how to get the guy of your dreams to marry you..lots of material there.

Crimes! Crimes! Crimes! Burglary, suspected arson, runaway teens!

This is a terrific idea!

This is a newsletter for your neighborhood? Just remember, you have to be careful who you put in the light. If public people can read these articles, you can be sued for things you put into the public eye. We're talking about this in Newspaper...and no matter your age, if you disrupt in any way of someone's living or ability to earn income or just disgrace them in the neighborhood, you can be sued for LARGE amounts of money! Be careful...

You may want to look up liable and how you can prevent it.

Mortimer would sue someone if he thought he would get more money. Don't ever tell a sim to sue..they might get ideas!
But what I'd love to see is "divorce court" listings, or perhaps the arrest records; a "Dear Simmie" column, and of course, the obituaries!

Actually, I downloaded a free word-processing program that has the "column" options in it-and I'm making a mini-paper with the doings of my simmies during the week, using the normal newspaper style.
"Headlines", "Engagements", "Weddings", "Editorial Commentary" "Births" and the Pleasantview "We Hear" gossip and scandal column.
It's been quite fun to recreate one for the game.
If you want the program, it's called "Abiword" and it is available here:
http://www.abisource.com/
Of course it helps that I'm quite the news hound, anyway-read about 5 or 6 different papers in print or on line every day; also my great grandfather was a newspaper reporter and editor for many years-I think it rubbed off on me.
